We're undergoing upgrades to enhance your experience. Thank you for your understanding.

There are many ways that you can support Guys Farm:

Friends of Guys Farm

Members of Friends of Guys Farm organise and assist fundraising events throughout the year to support the continued development of the site. There is also a 300 Club and a Dalmatian 101 Club where members of each have the chance of winning in the monthly draws.

Voluntary Wardens

Voluntary wardens provide weekend cover from April to October, welcoming visitors to the site, answering questions and other general duties. Wardens have their own studio accommodation which has two single beds, a toilet and shower room, and a kitchen area. Wardens are not required to be on site throughout the whole weekend and often take a gentle stroll to the village of Scorton for an Ice Cream (or two).

We hold introductory sessions throughout the year for anyone interested in becoming a voluntary warden. Please see the ‘Events’ section for dates.

Activity Instructors

The site offers a number of activities that are qualified instructor led; multi-purpose climbing complex, climbing and abseiling, and archery. We run courses once or twice a year for anyone interested in gaining their qualifications and joining the volunteer instructor team. Instructors travel expenses are paid.

Please see the ‘Events’ section for upcoming courses. Alternatively, please inform the centre manager of your interest manager@guysfarm.org.uk

Service Days

The large site requires a lot of regular maintenance to keep it in good working order. The site holds a service day or ‘green gym day’ once a month with divisions from across Lancashire North West and Lancashire West Counties alternating organising a group of volunteers throughout the year.

All persons interested in taking part are more than welcome to join and dates for organised service days can be found in the ‘Events’ section.

Guys Farm Shop

There is a small shop on site managed by the Friends of Guys Farm. The shop opens each Saturday between 1:30 – 3:30 (though can operate across longer hours on event days).

If you would like to offer a few hours a month volunteering in the shop, please email: Kath Baron baronkm.1@googlemail.com

Many other ways…

These are just some of the ways that you can help us continue to be an amazing resource for young people. Are you interested in taking on a challenge and fundraising perhaps as an individual, unit or friendship group? Do you have a skill that would help the site flourish further? Whatever it may be, big or small, please get in touch with manager@guysfarm.org.uk
