Welcome to Guys Farm Activity Centre and Campsite
Guys Farm Activity Centre and Campsite is situated in the village of Forton, close to the M6 and on the border of the Forrest of Bowland. It is ideally situated for trips to the historic cities of Lancaster and Preston, as well as days out to the Lake District and Blackpool. It is owned by Girlguiding Lancashire North West and Lancashire West County.
We have three indoor accommodation blocks and six camping fields.
The site occupies an area of 6 acres of grassland, providing a safe and spacious place for on-site activities.
All of our equipped campsites have a solid shelter with electric sockets, flush toilets and showers. There is a central fridge/freezer room. Our unequipped sites have access to a central toilet and shower block. We also have a shop selling sweets & souvenirs, a chapel area, campfire circles, backwoods fire lighting areas, a wet-weather shelter, a craft room and games field space available to all campsite visitors.
The site has full-time Centre manager and is open all year round. It is suitable for any member of the Guide or Scout Associations as well as other youth organisations and school groups.
The many on-site activities make the site a suitable base for weekend or week stays, as well as day and evening visits. **Hot News** the boating lake is now open for bookings
We also have sites suitable for Duke of Edinburgh’s award, Patrol Camp permits, etc. Please ask for details.
Instruction can be provided for various activities, please ask the Centre manager for details.
