Guys Farm Activity Centre and Campsite was officially opened by Mr Simon Towneley JP. Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire on 3rd October 1987. The site is owned by Girlguiding Lancashire North West and Lancashire West Counties.

The site is situated in the village of Forton, close to the M6 and on the border of the Forrest of Bowland. It is ideally situated for trips to the historic cities of Lancaster and Preston, as well as days out to the Lake District and Blackpool.

Guys Farm occupies an area of 6 acres of grassland, providing a safe and spacious place for on-site activities. We have three indoor accommodation blocks and six camping fields. There is an onsite shop, a chapel area, campfire circles, backwoods fire lighting areas, a pizza oven, a wet-weather shelter, a craft room and games field space available to all campsite visitors.

A full-time Centre manager enables the site to remain usable all year round. It is suitable for all members of the Guide or Scout Associations as well as other youth organisations and school groups. We can accommodate for weekend and weekday stays as well as day/evening visits and it is a perfect place for any persons or groups working towards particular achievements i.e. Duke of Edinburgh, camp permits.

We have a number of voluntary instructors available to lead various activities, including; high ropes, abseiling, archery, paddle boarding (SUP) and canoeing. All prices can be found in the ‘Activities’ section.

The peaceful, idyllic setting of Guys Farm has a lot to offer any individuals and groups wishing to take some time away from day-to-day life. If you are interested in booking a stay with us, please email:
