There are many ways to volunteer at Guys Farm and be part of our fantastic friendly team.
Service Team
We are really keen to start a service team at Guys Farm. We are looking for DIY-ers, gardeners, painters, cleaners etc. or anyone who can roll up their sleeves and help out with keeping the site looking fabulous. We are also looking for volunteers to help with specific build projects throughout the year. Volunteering can be done during the day midweek or weekends.
Ad hoc help
Can you and your District or Division team come and help for a time at Guys and help us with specific projects – you could book the accommodation and make a social weekend of it!
Volunteer wardens
Our volunteer wardens are the welcoming face of Guys Farm – looking after our guests during their stay. Wardens commit to a few dates each year, normally covering weekends but some mid week periods during the year.
The role includes welcoming arrivals, running the onsite shop, preparing some of the self-led activities and ensuring they are suitable for use and checking out the guests at the end of their stay ensuring the buildings and campsites are ready for our next guests. The only requirement is that they are a member of Girlguiding and enjoy going the extra mile to ensure our guests have a great stay at Guys Farm.
Volunteer wardens have the use of the flat which sleeps 3 with a kitchen and bathroom.
Corporate Volunteers
We welcome any enquiries and help from companies who have a great attitude to community support and want to help others.
We are always happy to work with companies to complete a one off project or general help about the site.
If your company would be interested in helping out for a day or longer then please get in touch.
Queens Guide or Duke of Edinburgh Volunteers
Why not use your volunteer hours towards either your Queens Guide or Duke of Edinburgh Award. If you think this is something you would like to do please get in touch!
Activity Instructors
We are seeking dedicated people to run our onsite outdoor activities: high ropes, climbing wall, abseil tower, archery and lake-based water activities. Whether you are a qualified instructor or just keen to help please get in touch.
